So much for Gordon Brown's grand democratic renewal programme. It lasted for just five days.

Today the PM announced a secret Iraq inquiry to be led by five establishment figures which will take until after the next General Election to report.

This is the old politics designed to sweep this colossal error - to invade Iraq - under the carpet.

The PM must change his mind.
