A solution to the problems at Dunfermline Building Society should involve a partnership between the mutual sector and the Government. And it must involve keeping the Society as an independent Scottish mutual.
It would be unacceptable for the society to be merged with another society, to be taken over by the government or to to be sold off to a private buyer. It's important that we do everything to defend Scotland's biggest mutual.
